Our Story
When the EU announced the ESPR regulation and mandatory Digital Product Passports, we saw two things: a powerful opportunity for product transparency and a massive compliance burden for small and mid-sized businesses.
Large corporations can hire compliance teams and build custom systems. But what about the independent merchant selling handmade textiles? The small electronics brand with 50 products? The growing battery retailer shipping across Europe? They needed something affordable, intuitive, and designed for how they already work.
That is why we built PassportEU. We took the complexity of EU regulations -- JSON-LD formats, QR code standards, supply chain traceability requirements -- and packaged it into a tool any merchant can use.
